"Pima Indians series"
"I applaud the use of original photography by the newspaper and the generous amount of space allotted to it. The layout uses the photography in an effective way and in conjunction with other thought-out graphic devices, boxes, pull-quotes and charts, makes for a very compelling series on an important local issue."
GARTH WEBER
Phoenix New Times
"Lost Arcos"
"A very graphic, sure-handed illustration gets to the heart of the issue that the story addresses. The designer's layout and typography works well in conjunction with the pull page art to make for a very compelling, eye-catching spread."

"Don't know much about geography?"
"A fun, jazzy spread that uses spot art and other graphics in an organized presentation. The little maps are well done and the large screened-back globe and map border works well to hold the whole thing together and to communicate the subject to the reader."
