Judges: Paul Kitagi Jr., and Paul Joseph Brown, Seattle Post-Intelligencer
Kitagi, who recently joined the Post-Intelligencer, previously worked for the Portland Oregonian, San Jose Mercury News and the San Francisco Examiner. While at the Mercury News, he shared the Pulitzer Prize for news for coverage of the Loma Prieta Earthquake. Brown is a Region 8 Photographer of the Year. He has been a staff photographer at the P-I for 10 years. He has also worked for the Dallas Morning News and Anchorage Daily News.
