Don't miss The Arizona Press Club's annual awards party -- a tribute to the state's best journalism -- at the swanky Sheraton Downtown Phoenix Hotel. Mingle with fellow journalists during happy hour and find out who our award winners are. We'll also bestow scholarships to deserving journalism students, the Distinguished Service Award to a veteran Arizona journalist and an infamous Brick Wall Award -- or two -- to the individuals and government entities who stand between journalists and the public records they seek.

Tickets are $15 each, which includes entry and a scrumptious appetizer and dessert buffet. A cash bar is available. Dress code is the nice stuff in your closet between the formal gown and the torn jeans. After the event, the Sheraton's sophisticated District American Kitchen & Wine Bar is just steps away. A special deal for you revelers and folks from outside the Valley - discounted room rates at the hotel. We'll e-mail you info when you register for the event.

We'll also be unveiling the annual Arpaio First Amendment Disservice Award, aka the "Brick Wall" award, and the "Sledgehammer" award. Click here to send nominations through April 30, 2011.

Registration forms must include the names of all those attending. For example, if paying for two people to attend, list on the form each person paid for. Please note whether they work for the publication or are a guest, so we can keep the name tags accurate. You will receive an email confirmation from the volunteer party crew soon, but we have day jobs so please don't expect it the same day you pay online.
